**കോട്ടയം: **അടിച്ചിറയിൽ ട്രെയിനിടിച്ച് അമ്മയും കുഞ്ഞും മരിച്ചു. അടിച്ചിറ 101 കവലക്ക് സമീപത്തെ റെയിൽവേ മേൽപാലത്തിന് സമീപം രാവിലെ 10.45 ഓടെയാണ് സംഭവം. ഇതര സംസ്ഥാനക്കാരായ അമ്മയും അഞ്ചുവയസുള്ള കുഞ്ഞുമാണ് മരിച്ചത്.

തിരുവനന്തപുരം- ഹൈദരാബാദ് ശബരി എക്സ്പ്രസാണ് ഇരുവരെയും ഇടിച്ചതെന്നാണ് വിവരം. സംഭവത്തിനു പിന്നാലെ സ്ഥലത്തെത്തിയ പോലീസ് മൃതദേഹങ്ങൾ കോട്ടയം മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജ്  ആശുപത്രിയിലേക്ക് മാറ്റി. ഗാന്ധിനഗർ പോലീസും ആർ.പി.എഫും ചേർന്ന് തുടർനടപടികൾ സ്വീകരിച്ചു.
